Overview

The Workflow Polling Interval is a time interval measured in minutes and used to configure/fine-tune the execution of delay activities in Workflows.

Setting this interval to a small value may cause serious performance problems depending on the size of your system. We recommend you to consult with the architect of your system before changing this value.

Details

In Sense/Net delays (inside Workflows) are executed periodically, the time interval between executions is the Workflow Polling Interval. Each and every time, when this time period is elapsed, we awake all of our running workflows (with delays in it) and execute the delay. That means, if you using a delay with a smaller value than the one defined in Workflow Polling Interval setting, your delay activity won't be executed in time.

Valid values for Workflow Polling Interval are positive numbers.

Setting this interval to smaller value than 0.5 will prevent the running of workflows with delay (systemwide)!
